By visiting the center you learn the most effective job search practices, build your network and find resources to help you further your education or manage a successful small-business.

Even if an employment center or self-reliance center is not close enough for you to visit, ldsjobs.org offers many online resources. If you desire, an employment advisor can also provide assistance over the telephone or through e-mail.

The Oregon Professional Educator Fair is the largest recruiting event for teachers, specialists, and administrators in the Northwest attracting educators and agencies from across the U.S. and beyond. We invite your registration for the April 4-5, 2017 OPEF event in Portland, Oregon.


Oregon's Professional Educator Fair provides face to face meeting opportunities by candidates with recruiters from top school districts, community colleges, private schools and preschools.  (228 Agencies attended the 2016 Fair making it the largest recruiting event in 9 years!


A listing of "Who's Coming" is a button on the homepage.  It shows the projected openings for agencies/districts that have registered.  Usually this listing only shows about 40-50% of actual openings as many agencies/districts can't project that far ahead and will display them at the Fair.

Tuesday, April 4, 2017; is open to all registered candidates.  Wednesday, April 5, 2017 By Appointment Only (for interviews typically arranged on 4/4/17 to registered candidates)


Registration Fee for Candidates:  Online candidate registration on or before March 26, 2016 is $18.00. ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 8:00 p.m. on March 26.  Registration at the door will begin at 8:00 a.m. on April 4, cost is $28.00.  


Candidates will receive a manual upon entering that will provide information about employer booth locations as well as projected position vacancies communicated by districts when they registered.


Time:  Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (For Pre-scheduled Interviews Only)
